It is bordered by the Latin inscription: “Eius in obitu nostro praesentia muniamur” (May we be strengthened by his presence in the hour of our death).

Back Side: The prominent medal in the center foreground shows the reverse side. It features the Saint Benedict Cross bearing the initials CSSML on the vertical bar and NDSMD on the horizontal bar. Surrounding the cross is the Benedictine monogram PAX (Peace) at the top, and the letters of the traditional exorcism and protective prayer formulas: V R S N S M V – S M Q L I V B.
